GIS is proud to celebrate a major industry milestone: one of the energy sector’s major leaders has officially achieved First Oil. At 9:57 PM on April 20th, 2025, the first barrel of oil was sold across the meter, marking the start of production. By 11:10 AM the following morning, an additional well was successfully opened, further solidifying the operational momentum of this deepwater project.
PROJECT EXECUTION AT THE HIGHEST STANDARD
This development represents a deepwater tieback that was delivered on time, on budget, and with zero serious injuries (SIFs)—a true reflection of meticulous planning, seamless execution, and strong cross-team collaboration.
