condensate system replacement

Project Overview
  • GIS was contracted as a EPFC contractor to redesign the facility’s condensate piping system for increased throughput, longevity and allow for additional equipment tie-in’s. GIS demolished and disposed of existing piping and insulation, fabricated and installed new piping, built an additional pumper trap foundation, set and tied-in the new pumper trap and insulated the complete system with Mascoat Spray-on insulation.
Design Details
  • Laser Scanned the project prior to engineering and design start to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Revised Existing P&IDs, Piping Line List, Piping Tie-in Location & Details, Piping Isometrics and designed new Piping Isometrics
  • Revised the Civil Foundation Plan, Drawings and MPS Drawings and Details
fabrication and construction
  • Procured required materials, fabricated, blasted and coated with Mascoat 288 spools.
  • Utilized GIS’s proprietary materials management and planning system, along with a bag and tag method for efficient shop and field materials management.
  • Installed 4,500’ of .5″ to 4” XH and STD CS piping with required supports for Condensate system in the existing structural rack systems throughout the G-1, G-2 and Flare areas of the facility.
  • Installed new Pumper Trap and Foundation
