Early June, our leadership team attended the annual BP GoM Supplier Summit where this year’s theme focused on “Delivering Long Term Success in a Changing World.” President Mark Pregeant II took a dive into lessons learned from the past, and how we are ensuring that newer generations do not forget these lessons. It is a huge honor to be approached by our client to assist in this event to present on a topic that focuses on the forward vision within our industry.

At the event, GIS was also awarded BP’s Respect Award for recognizing their values and caring about the relationships for those whom we work with. The client mentioned just one example related to an emerging situation response where GIS reacted immediately and our team coordinated efforts with the client timely and professionally.

GIS had been called upon by BP for an emergency issue on their Mad Dog location back on September 6, 2018.  Working hand-in-hand with BP representative Christie Arseneau, David Vega, Josh Son, and Doug Bradberry formed a team along with our GIS Environmental Division (Fred Parker, Antonio Richard, Justin Monley, Hewitt Mitchell, and Latronce Scott) at C-Port 1 in Port Fourchon.  Our team safely and successfully decontaminated approximately 85 people and their items, ensuring all of them were able to get back to work in a safe and timely manner.

In addition, there are so many other uncountable stories across all of our touch points with BP from Project Management and MODS to Fabrication and Materials Management to Offshore and Rope Access crews along with support services including Scaffolding, Transportation Medium, and Mack Steel—all working together as One Team to deliver world-class service to BP.
