GIS Receives Courage Award at BP Supplier Summit
GIS, as a partner to the GWIS EPC joint venture with Worley, was recognized for embodying the BP value of “Courage” at BP’s annual Supplier Summit in Houston. GIS would like to also congratulate Jennifer Schwertz-Ohrin
As a recipient of the award, this portrays how: we always strive to do the right thing; we explore new ways of thinking and are unafraid to ask for help; we are honest with ourselves, and actively seek feedback from others; and how we aim for enduring legacy, and despite the short term priorities of our world.
Dear GIS Team,
I wanted to follow-up with you to extend my personal congratulations for achieving this year’s courage award at our recent summit. Courage is one of my favorite values as it represents the core mindset a person or organization carries routinely in how they approach and handle challenges we all face in our everyday lives. One of my favorite sayings:
“Courage is the most important of all our virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently”.
Ethics and Compliance are core to your organization and you have acutely and courageously included it in all aspects and functions of your organization, not just as a singular topic required by owner companies. Great job!!!
In addition I wanted to pass on my appreciation to Leon for sharing his presentation, obvious experience and passion for Human Performance and you have a passion I respect and appreciate. I look forward to learning more from you as we travel down this path of making our hard working people powerful….safely!!! Thank you and look forward to our continued relationship as we grow as One Team!!! As your CAM, I was very proud and it is an honor to serve in this role on your behalf.
